Kate French Artist

Kate French is a Sculptor/Mixed Media Artist living in Kinsale. She is a member of the National Sculpture Factory and the Sculptor’s Society of Ireland.

She has exhibited in prestigious galleries across the island of Ireland and in UK and Europe.

Along with her husband; Philip French (painter), she runs Gallery 23 since 1992 in Kinsale.

Kate’s work is mainly based on movement; the moment before, during and after. In her recent solo exhibition “Flight” she explored the concept of birds, butterflies, dancers and people in flight.

Kate works mainly in stone, but also in bronze and most recently experimented with 2 and 3 dimensional paper work.
