Bio

Tetiana Mishyna

I am a Cork-based professional visual artist focused on contemporary watercolour and acrylic landscape painting. I am a member of VAI, Sample-Studios (Cork), Lavit Gallery (Cork), Market Gallery (Cork), and Cnoc Bui Art Centre (Union Hall, West Cork), a participant of Studios of Sanctuary Residency Programme (Cork) – an award-winning training and mentorship programme by Sample-Studios for artists from migrant and refugee backgrounds. Awarded the Agility Award 2023 by the Arts Council of Ireland.

Originally from Ukraine, I now live and work in Cork, developing my art practice in Ireland. Actively contributing to Ireland’s art scene I have being involved in various artistic initiatives across the country, including public engagement events, art residencies (in Triskel Art Centre in Cork and Cill Rialaig in West Iveragh), and numerous group and solo exhibitions, particularly in Munster: in the Lord Mayor’s Pavilion, Sample-Studios Gallery (Cork), Triskel Art Centre (Cork), Lavit Gallery (Cork), Cnoc Bui (Union Hall), GOMA (Waterford), Mount Congreve House and Gardens (Waterford), SWERVE Gallery (Skibbereen), The Grey Heron (Bandon), 6s&7s Gallery (Tipperary Town), The Address Hotel (Cork), The Hideout Café and Gallery (Cork), The Dunmore Restaurant (Dublin), The Riverside Cottage (Waterford), Linn Gallery (Clonmel). My works were featured internationally in Elysium Gallery (Swansea, Wales).

I have an ongoing representation in Market Gallery (Cork) and have taken part in a number of their exhibitions. Also, I had several shows and pop-up shows in the libraries in counties Cork, Clare, and Westmeath, including the show in the new Kinsale library and three-language exhibition in Irish, English and Ukrainian in the Gaeltacht area, Baile Bhúirne. I take part in art festivals such as K-FEST (Kerry), Tipperary Together Festival (Tipperary Town) and STAMP (Cork).

I facilitate public workshops and take commissions.

My series of watercolour workshops “The Sky, The Sea, The Land” was delivered twice in Lord Mayor’s Pavilion in 2025 due to public demand and has gained attraction from the additional venues and organisations such as West End Arts Studio in Mallow and Creative Places Tipperary Town.

My recent achievement was an invaluable collaboration with the Creative Places Tipperary Town in facilitating a series of free public watercolour workshops for the community, a solo exhibition of my watercolours in parallel with a group watercolour exhibition of my workshop participants, and a sketching workshop for Culture Night 2025.

My works are held in private collections in Ireland, Ukraine, Spain, Germany, France, UK and USA.
