Bio

Yvonne Ryves

Yvonne has always drawn, painted or crafted and after studying art at college also explored glass engraving working with both hand tools and electric drills.

After training with the London Art College Yvonne received both a Diploma in Watercolour as well as a Certificate in Coloured Pencils and she now works mainly in Artist’s Oil and Wax Coloured Pencils, Watercolour Paint and Watercolour Pencils, often combining the mediums in her paintings. Her work has been described as delicate and sensitive, capturing the energy of her subject and with glorious textures.

Yvonne’s inspiration is taken from the natural world in all its forms, including people, animals and the local landscape, however she is also inspired by travelling around the world and the photographs she takes whilst doing so. She exhibits regularly with Bandon Art Group as well as Clonakilty Artists Together. Her work can be found in private homes in Ireland, America, South Africa, the UK and in commercial properties locally.
