Exploring the Art of Natalie Allen: A Mixed Media Journey

I am an environmental artist working in sculpture, sound, lino and oils, living and working in
rural West Cork. Currently, I am using the materials of plaster, glass, clay, silicone, lino prints
and oil paint in order to bring our attention to nature and feminism. Through a process of
experimentation and looking deeply, I hope to hold a space for calm and peace.
My artistic practice involves gathering natural patterns occurring in nature through a casting
sculptural process, reflecting on the origins of life. I create intuitively, and I am inspired by
the natural process and traces of the past. The work so far is unfinished and transitory,
more of a feeling rather than a conclusion, part of the landscape, never stable and always in
motion. The work is organic and intimate.
